ACTIVITIES EXCEEDED EXPECTATIONS

City Municipality of Palilula as responsible organization of local self-government  of City of Nis achieved in 2010 very outstanding results. With realization of  several projects, successful salvation of citizens requests and  presence on the ground of municipal management and Administration, significantly is improved quality of life of all categories of population in Palilula. About that are on press conference, spoke Prof. Dr. Igor Novakovic, president of City Municipality of Palilula and Milan Djurdjevic, president of Assembly. To the meeting with representatives of media attended and members of municipal Council, Zorica Stoiljkovic, Milos Stojkovic, Milan Stevanovic and Boban Mikic.

“We managed to use potentials of industrial zone Donje Medjurovo and to adequately represent to business public. Our strategy and adopted standard of quality in work of Administration, as and support of the City, only facilitated and expedited the decision of potential investors. Thanks to the two new factories, next year employment on the territory of Palilula Municipality will be increased for 30 percent – highlighted president of Municipality Prof. Dr Igor Novakovic. With activity and suggestions of Citizens` Councils, in Program of building was entered numerous changes, so more infrastructure problems is successfully solved by this cooperation, said Milan Djurdjevic, president of Assembly. “In our work, says members of Council: Milos Stojkovic, Boban Mikic, Zorica Stoiljkovic, Milan Stevanovic, we tried that citizens of Palilula be included in all activities of municipality, but and to find out what they needs and problems are.
The biggest success in the area of social protection, according to president Novakovic, expected is by realization of projects, which was recently approved to Municipality from program EXCHANGE 3, financed by European Union, managed by Delegation of European Union in Serbia, realized by Standing Conference of  Towns and Municipalities named “Strengthening of municipal capacities for improving of quality of life of social vulnerable groups”. For more efficient and modern achieving of right of citizens, as and increasing of quality of services which provides Administration in municipality is on the beginning of the year started with work Contact Center – INFO 48 which represents unique information system in region.

Successful results in work of Palilula Municipality in 2010, management explains with good cooperation with coalitions` partners. “ In the coalition rules synergy, so that all important decisions made in unanimously. Good cooperation is one of prerequisites of our unity and success, says Novakovic, in interest of citizens of Palilula and their families. In Administration is improved work of inspection services resulting in improvement of financial results. It is adopted “Strategy of Development of Small and Medium Enterprises and Entrepreneurship of City Municipality of Palilula 2009-2013”. It is opened and Center for Entrepreneurship originated as a result of the project and cooperation with LEDIB. During 2010 in the City Municipality of Palilula hardly is worked on construction of water supply system, sewerage system and paving on territory of Palilula Municipality. There is and projects. Ministry of Public Administration and Local Self Government approved 1.400.000 RSD, to City Municipality of Palilula in Nis, for realization of second phase of the project of regulation of memorial park “Bubanj”. Assembly of City Municipality of Palilula, to permanent protection of “Old cemetery” under the Gorica, brought proposal of decision to declare this area a memorial park. Ministry of Infrastructure approved in this year 3 million of RSD for reconstruction of the street Bubanjski heroji. From Program of activities on regulation of inter – block space we point out: setting of six playgrounds, for recreational activities of youngest residents of villages Gabrovac, Berbatovo, Vukmanovio and Lalinac and in the settlements on Ledena Stena, Milka Protic and Stara zeleznicka kolonija – says Milan Djurdjevic. Everyday we are on the ground in the meeting with citizens both in urban as in rural areas in order to faster and simpler way to solve problems.
